A passionate filmmaker, Mark’s dedication has seen him successfully traverse a variety of roles across a variety of visual media.
With filmmaking being his main passion and output, his works across music videos, promos, corporates and virals have shared his cinematic sensibilities, keen editing skills and sense of style.
As a freelance Director and Producer, Mark has worked for the likes of Addiction, Jetix, devilfish, National Geographic, five, Sky One, Nickelodeon, RNID, Fremantle, Plunge Films, AKQA, Vauxhall, The History Channel, Discovery Italia, White Night Films and Lightweight Media amongst many, many others.
As a filmmaker, Mark is an established, experienced writer/director across a variety of genres - though his primary prediliction is towards dark, challenging character studies. His films have been noted for their visceral style, strong performances and unique moods, enhanced by imaginative scores.
Joker’s Pack refers to the collective of collaborators Mark has worked with over the years. Established from friends and colleagues with skills in different arenas such as music production, graphic design, special effects and art, The Pack are often utilised in Mark’s filmmaking productions.
A keen advocate for creative collaboration, Mark has the Joker’s Pack logo tattooed on his right arm - it also serves as a reminder of Joker’s Pack’s mainfesto: to create films that are provoactive AND entertaining, and highlight both form AND content.
